The main Living Shizen logo consists of the Japanese word SHI-ZEN enclosed in the Yin-Yang symbol.
SHIZEN is the Japanese word for nature and natural. The individual kanji symbols form the words `Shizen` meaning THE SELF AS I AM.
The two key concepts of Living Shizen are returning to nature and discovering what feels natural as a unique individual. Sara-Shivani believes that living naturally is caring for the unique needs of your body, mind and spirit and then communing and harmonizing with Mother Nature. She says ``When we understand how we are affected by nature`s rhythms, seasons, and elements we learn the secrets to health and vitality. Living naturally means to live as you are now and as nature originally intended.``
Living Shizen sessions, special workshops, and the Women and Wellbeing Lifeshop are held regularly in Japan. Sara-Shivani has lead workshops in India, China, Australia and Spain and has a range of personal and corporate clients in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura. People who have benefited from Living Shizen include: business professionals, hospital staff, parents, singers, entertainers, athletes, teenagers and senior citizens.
Why is holistic health and happiness harder to achieve these days?
Many Health problems are a result of the modern lifestyle. We are often too busy working, studying, traveling or caring for others to authentically connect with our body and Mother Nature. We often feel very stressed and pessimistic about our situation and our future.
What is an effective solution?
In many cases, taking time to cultivate a natural and positive way of breathing, moving, eating and interacting can eliminate stress and enhance wellbeing. For centuries in Asia ,Yoga and Qi Gong have been proven to be effective natural approaches to health and vitality. Alternative and medical doctors recommend them as a form of self-care, as they promotes youth, healthy-aging, a fit body and a relaxed mind. Yoga and Qi Gong are different from most forms of exercise because they stimulate all systems and layers of the human body. The techniques enhance quality breathing and also open and cleanse the flow of energy circulation. With practice, most people find that they see an increase in their flexibility, strength, power, grace and experience a deep sense of happiness.
Who Can Benefit?
Anyone. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. People with little or no fitness can rest assured that they will find the content of Living Shizen Workshops easy to understand and do. For people who have an exercise regime that focuses on the cardio and muscular systems, I highly recommend trying the special workshops and discover the benefits of movement that stimulate the more subtle energy systems of the body. Serious yogis and yoginis will also find the workshops challenging and refreshing.
